Dr. Shellard Earns IMEA Outstanding Administrator Award

Congratulations to Dr. James Shellard, Assistant Principal for Student Activities, who has earned the "Outstanding Administrator Award" by the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA). Presented annually to a superintendent, principal or other top administrator, the award is given to recognize excellence and achievement in the encouragement and promotion of music education within Illinois and to honor a school administrator who supports his or her music program.

Dr. Shellard will receive the award on January 30 in Peoria during the IMEA State Festival. IMEA is the largest fine arts education organization in Illinois, representing every level of music education in every discipline. Glenbrook South will also be represented at the festival by 14 students selected to participate among the top-ranked music students in the state.
