Once again the Glenbrook South yearbook, the 2008 "Etruscan" was named a Pacemaker Award finalist by the National Scholastic Press Association. This award recognizes the top yearbooks in the country and the Etruscan was the only yearbook recognized from Illinois. Winners will be notified in writing of their award, and be honored at the Spring National High School Journalism Convention April 16-19 in Phoenix, Arizona. About GBS
Glenbrook South High School, which opened its doors in the fall of 1962, serves the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Glenview, and has grown to over 2500 students. Glenbrook North High School, the other high school of Northfield High School District 225 serves the secondary students of incorporated and unincorporated Northbrook. The two high schools together comprise a district honored both state-wide and nationally for outstanding academic achievements.
