Colin Cordes has had a great season and a great week. At the Central Suburban League South meet on Saturday, he set conference records while winning in the 100 and 200-meter freestyle, was part of the winning 400-meter freestyle relay team, and set a conference record in the 50-meter freestyle with his leadoff leg on the 200-meter freestyle relay.
According to the Press Release, "On behalf of Chicago Region Toyota Dealer Association, Toyota, Chicago Tribune, Chicagosports.com, and WBBM we would like to congratulate the athlete, athlete’s parents and the school for having COLIN CORDES selected as Toyota High School Athlete of the Week." About GBS
Glenbrook South High School, which opened its doors in the fall of 1962, serves the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Glenview, and has grown to over 2500 students. Glenbrook North High School, the other high school of Northfield High School District 225 serves the secondary students of incorporated and unincorporated Northbrook. The two high schools together comprise a district honored both state-wide and nationally for outstanding academic achievements.
