On Friday, February 8, 2008 Phylea and our girls' basketball team won the conference by defeating New Trier 39 - 36. On Monday, February 11, 2008 Phylea Anderson and her family were highlighted in an article in the Sun Times.
The article, Discipline & maturity - Two qualities not easy to find are not hard to spot in Phylea and Lawrence Anderson by Tina Akouris shares insight into this committed and talented young lady and her father who currently serves in the military.
Please take a moment to read about her family and her plans on majoring in secondary education. Someday she wants to, "return to Glenbrook South as a teacher." "'This school has shaped who I've become,' she said. 'Many of the teachers and students have helped me along the way. This is a great school, and the people are genuine.''' As the article states, "So is she."

About GBS
Glenbrook South High School, which opened its doors in the fall of 1962, serves the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Glenview, and has grown to over 2500 students. Glenbrook North High School, the other high school of Northfield High School District 225 serves the secondary students of incorporated and unincorporated Northbrook. The two high schools together comprise a district honored both state-wide and nationally for outstanding academic achievements.
